Contributor on large project, utilizing modern frameworks and libraries with Javascript and Ruby.

Senior Full Stack Developer - Kindara

In charge of architecting and developing Kindara’s web app utilizing Python/Django/Angular 2.0, supporting a 150k+ user base. The application analyzes large data sets providing valuable visualization for users seeking to understand their fertility. Heavily involved in UI/UX decisions for improving user retention, usability, and experience.

2014 - Now

Full Stack Mentor - Bloc, Inc.

Currently a part-time mentor for the front end, full stack, and ruby on rails developer courses at Bloc. Mentors students with junior to mid-level experience for 12-36 week courses. Walks students through setting up a development environment with vagrant, git, and node. Explains javascript essentials and basics and coaches students through various projects in order to set them up for a successful job hunt after the completion of the course.

2014 - 2015

Senior Full Stack Developer - RealScout, Inc.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, I collaborated with a small team of software engineers developing home search capabilities for both real estate agents and homebuyers. Drove a project utilizing an AngularJS client and Rails API, from the design/architecture phase, through development and implementation. Heavily involved in UX/UI decisions working closely with a small team of designers. Decisions helped increase usability and experience throughout the entire application. Established a solid UI style guide with SASS/Compass making it faster to implement new features for the whole team. Helped drive and implement end-to-end performance optimization. Reorganized code base increasing readability and code quality. Mentored junior engineers on engineering principles, clean code, process, and everyday development.

2011 - 2013

Web Developer - TexelTek

Held the Front-end Web Developer position with a team of Software Engineers developing analytical web applications for government customers. Organized projects using Agile techniques while co-managing a team of 4 engineers on a high-priority project, building widgets with multiple layers in ExtJS, Javascript, and JQuery. Expert in utilizing Git, command line, and GUI for project version control. Developed efficient and cross-browser compliant web applications with extra consideration for decreasing load times. Responsible for all stages of Web applications: from the initial design and architecture to development, deployment, and management. Lead Graphic Designer for a team of over 20+ engineers utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator, and other tools to graphically design applications and enhance loading times.

2007 - 2010

Web Administrator - United States Air Force

Redesigned and architected branch/company web portal, utilizing HTML/CSS/JS with an SQL database. Designed and architected the application in order to combine training, continuity, and networking efforts to create a one-stop shop for analytical needs. Solely managed and maintained the portal for two years, completing weekly content updates, and maintaining the online account of intelligence successes.
